It's also great for the history enthusiast, or anyone interested in a career in film, special effects makeup, or cosmetology! Topics we’ll cover: -Ancient Egyptian makeup and hairstyling rituals -Viking braids and the warrior style -Middle Ages -The glamorous looks of the 1920s and 1950s -How Hollywood influenced beauty trends -The bold and daring styles of the 1980s -Modern trends and the rise of social media beauty influencers -Fun Interactive Activity This class is designed to inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, and make history both fun and engaging. Join us for a stylish adventure that’s sure to captivate and educate! Included for enrolled students: A list of 4 optional FUN projects! As well as a BONUS Ancient Face Mask recipe. So much fun to be had during AND beyond this class! *Please note this one time class contains material used in lesson 2 of the Exploring Cosmetology Class, so if your learner enrolls in both they may review some of the same material. However, projects may be adjusted to keep the material fresh for them!

I'm Emily and I'm thrilled to introduce you to my many classes designed just for you.
With 15 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and certified hair loss practitioner. I've immersed myself in the fascinating world of cosmetology, engaging in over 30 hours per year of continuing education to refine my expertise in areas such as hair loss, trichology, advanced hair coloring techniques, color chemistry, color art theory, and various haircutting methods.
Currently, I am a student pursuing a dual degree in graphic design and writing with a focus in instructional design! I have many hobbies annd interests that I have become proficient in, but above all my biggest passion is educating others, especially the next generation!
Beyond my professional life: I'm a homeschooling mom of three, artist, writer and avid reader. I have a puppy named Floki and a cat named Tundra! I love learning and exploring new topics and I love music of all genres!
As an Instructor, I am passionate about creating rich. engaging learning experiences. My approach integrates literature, visual learning, and hands-on activities, aiming to make education both informative and enjoyable for learners of all ages!
