We will work on:

Expressing a diagram or quantity as a fraction of another
Simplifying and Equivalence
Ordering fractions
Finding fractions of amounts
Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division
Converting between mixed numbers to improper fractions
Converting between fractions, decimals and percentages
Fractional equations (extension)

In each class we will work on tasks from all of the above with plenty of variety across the week, spending 5 - 10 minutes on a task before moving on and developing it further. I use fun activities, games and quizzes to ensure all students are offered the opportunity to share their ideas and work with myself and others and contribute to the class discussion.

Lesson iii - Finding fractions of amounts
