In this one-time course learn all about the natural features of the Earth. Landforms include mountains, canyons, oceans, waterfalls, and many other terrain formations. The class will be a live instruction session that encourages learner participation and questions. Throughout the class, I will prompt students to share their knowledge and experience to encourage discussion and a better understanding of the topic. Live lecture instruction may be supplemented with handouts, a foldable, and/or games. Learners do not need any prior knowledge before the class.

- describe what a landform is,
- list various different types of landforms,
- identify landforms based on an image.
- distinguish between mountains, plateaus, hills, etc.

The teacher will post handouts into the Outschool classroom that will be used during the class. The students will need a pencil, glue, and colored pencils or crayons.

Hello! My name is Ms. Ann and I have been a teacher for over a decade in the beautiful state of VA. I have taught several grades in both Elementary and Middle School. I love to teach. I think the best part of teaching is sharing my knowledge in a variety of subjects and helping students make connections to previous experiences or existing background knowledge.
I am a certified teacher in all core subjects: math, history, science, and language arts (grades K-8 and gifted education). I believe that successful teaching includes building relationships, interest, and engagement with students. When students are interested in the topic, they are more willing to participate, ask questions, and ultimately master the content.
