Whether new to improv or a seasoned pro, your learner will sharpen their comedic timing, build unforgettable characters, hilarious scenes—at their level. In this fast-paced, wildly creative improv class, learners will explore storytelling, risk-taking, and collaboration while discovering what they find funny. Through group games, scene challenges, and long-form improv, they’ll push their creative limits in an accepting space where every idea is celebrated. If your learner is brand new to improv or an advanced performer looking for a higher challenge, I’m happy to help place them in the best group—just send me a message! What Will They Learn? Your learner will develop the ability to: ✅ Instantly craft characters and conflicts ✅ Build spontaneous, hilarious, and well-structured scenes ✅ Think on their feet and turn ideas into quick, compelling stories ✅ Find and heighten the “game” of a scene for maximum impact ✅ Balance self-awareness with comedic freedom We focus on comedy, but it’s about more than just laughs. The best humor comes from truth—so what truths does your learner want to explore? Whether they want to poke fun at pop culture, internet trends, memes or celebrities, we welcome their ideas! How the Class Works Each week, we warm up, play improv games, tackle hilarious scene challenges, and then explore deeper short and long-form storytelling—all while keeping it fast and fun. Our improv classes now have over two years' worth of lessons without repeating. Some of our improv students been with us for as long as 5 years! Course Content Every week, lessons adapt to fit the group’s needs and growth, but here’s a general 10-week outline: 🔥 Week 1: Listening & Collaboration – A Gift for the King or Queen 🔥 Week 2: Making & Accepting Offers – The Present 🔥 Week 3: Building a Strong Foundation – Set the Scene & Create Character 🔥 Week 4: When Things Go Off the Rails – Twists & Unexpected Turns 🔥 Week 5: Finding an Ending – Nail the Landing 🔥 Week 6: Structuring Scenes – Hooking the Audience with Stronger Stories 🔥 Week 7: Creating Unique Characters – Characters Who Care 🔥 Week 8: Justification – Yes, Even That Can Make Sense 🔥 Week 9: Raising the Stakes – What’s at Risk? 🔥 Week 10: Chivalry in Improv – Taking Turns, Supporting Partners 🔥 Week 11: Conflict & Character Problems – The Drama in Comedy 🔥 Week 12: Resolutions – Why It’s Not About Fixing the Problem This ongoing class is designed for teens (or younger advanced learners) who are ready to dive in, take risks, and create something unforgettable. Whether they’re an experienced improviser looking to level up or a beginner eager to explore, we’re excited to have them in class! ✉️ Have a first-time learner or an advanced performer who needs a custom challenge? Metas de aprendizaje
Because of my three basic rules, the following are encouraged and promoted for all students regardless of experience level:
-Students learn to focus their minds and increase concentration
-They practice and understand the importance of respect and teamwork.
-They build confidence and gain tools to deal with nervousness or shyness through breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as through the success of performing with other students
-They develop tools to “think outside the box” and generate new ideas’ in the moment’
-They learn how to shape and direct stories and narratives through miniature plots to ultimate resolutions
When a student comes up with a new and spontaneous idea in the moment, and it works, they feel the instant thrill of success. They get a laugh from their group peers and they develop a new and deeper connection with their scene partner(s). My goal for every student is to equip them with the tools to be able to achieve that moment and experience that success for themselves.

Orientación para padres
I make best efforts to avoid politics and religion or more "gruesome" subjects (horror and crime), but sooner or later a student will cast him or herself in the role of a religious leader or famous politician, or set a scene in a church or the Whitehouse etc., or pretend to be a serial killer or an investigator following up on the discovery of a body.... This is fictional drama and comedy. It is make-believe and it is important to the process to let their imaginations open up. We want them to explore their ideas unrestricted, as long as their ideas do not denigrate others or make another learner uncomfortable. I give all the students the option to chat me privately if they are uncomfortable with an idea so they can voice a concern without drawing attention to themself. Also, while I maintain a safe zone of inclusivity for all faiths and ideologies: hate speech, prejudice or cyber bullying will not be allowed and parents will be notified.

MEET ME: Gordon Woolvett
Hi, I’m Gordon Woolvett, founder of Boundless Reach. With over 250 plus screen credits in television, film and on stage—as a Gemini award-winning actor, writer, and director—I’ve seen how the right training can empower young performers to embrace their creativity, build confidence, and thrive.
You might recognize me from Andromeda (a sci-fi TV series sold in over 150 countries) or Bride of Chucky (which, let’s hope, your learner hasn’t seen!), but my passion extends far beyond the screen. With more than 45 years of professionally performing and training, I’ve developed tools for versatility and adaptability—exactly what your learner needs to overcome challenges, achieve greater success in acting, and unlock their inner artistry and creativity—all while laughing and having fun along the way.
As an improv performer (catch me live, weekly, at two different improv theatres in Vancouver, BC), a dad of three, and a soccer coach of 11 years: I’ve learned that creativity flourishes best in an environment that’s both structured and fun. That’s why our classes blend improvisation, scene study, and private coaching in joyful ways to help each student discover their unique voice and build the confidence to take on any challenge.
