Nivel Beginner - Intermediate
Let's learn how to tell time through song, games, and play! Each class will begin with a song, game, or quick project to introduce the day's lesson. We will work on things like: - counting from 1 to 60 - skip counting by 5s - using our new number knowledge to figure out what all the marks on the clock mean! - Students will play number games to strengthen their understanding of the clock. For the second part of class, students will participate in a fun guided play session involving clocks. - One day, we will visit a bakery and practice asking for our baked goods at different times. - Another day we will plan a trip to an amusement park and schedule which rides we want to visit at which times. - Another day we will help run a veterinary clinic and need to schedule different animals for their checkups at different times. - On the final day we will be post-office workers who need to deliver important messages at specific times. At the end of every class, students will work on a worksheet - available via print or online - to practice the skill of the day on their own!

Big hand, little hand
This lesson helps students identify the two hands on a clock. They will learn how to draw a clock, including where all 12 numbers are located. They will make observations about how the little hand and big hand move around the clock. Students will practice counting to 12, learn where the little hand sits at the start of every hour, and practice reading different hours in different play scenarios. 45 minutos de lección en vivo en línea
Lección 2:
What's the hour?
Students will be introduced to the way the BIG HAND shows us the current hour, and how it moves beyond numbers the further past the hour we go. Students will practice reading the big hand at various positions around the clock, and identify whether it is exactly on the hour or a little past. They will learn the phrases "Half Past" "Quarter Past" and "Quarter Till" to help them track minutes. 45 minutos de lección en vivo en línea
Lección 3:
What's the minute?
Students will practice counting by 5s and learn how each number correlates with a number of minutes in an hour. They will practice counting by 5s as they go around the clock. Lección 4:
Tell time!

Requisitos previos
Students should be able to count to 12. It is helpful if they can count to 60 (although we will practice together, too!) It can be helpful if they understand the idea of skip counting No previous experience with analog clocks is necessary.
