Fossils are preserved remains, impressions, or, even traces of once-living organisms (animals or plants) from the past. Children will meet each other through an 'icebreaker' question and a quick 'Guess-in-Ten' game. Then, through slides, video clips, and discussion, students will learn what fossils are and what paleontologists learn from them. A fossil is how we know that dinosaurs were once here. In fact, some scientists think that there are descendants of dinosaurs among us now. Can you guess what animal that is?
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will learn the different fossil types and where fossils are found.
