▬▬▬▬▬▬ CLASS INTRO ▬▬▬▬▬
Welcome to the "Provocative Planet Science" series, which focuses on the most intriguing parts of Planetary Earth Science, with the aim of making learning fun and exhilarating. I think making learning enjoyable and bringing science to life is the best way to get kids engaged and learning without realising it. No previous experience necessary.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ CLASS SUMMARY ▬▬▬▬▬
In this class we focus on MARS and why it's huge Northern Hemisphere Ocean disappeared? We look at new emerging evidence that liquid water used to flow on Mars and the current status of the rovers exploring the surface of Mars.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ CLASS STYLE ▬▬▬▬▬
I use PowerPoint presentations for all my classes, so I can mix text and multimedia and make the class more interesting. This class will be run using an "intro-discussion-repeat" format. This means I will take a few minutes to introduce a topic, using images or videos wherever appropriate in order to bring the subject alive. Then we will pause to take questions and make sure everyone is keeping up. Then we'll move on to the next exciting sub-topic and supporting material, and then pause for questions after that one too. This means that you can enjoy the class however you like. Speak up and get involved and ask questions, or just listen and enjoy with no pressure. If you like this class then you check out my full "Earth Science" courses, with subjects cherry picked to choose the most interesting, accessible and relevant Earth Science subjects for kids, so they learn to enjoy exploring the world around them.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ LINKED CLASS ▬▬▬▬▬
This class can be taken on its own, but is best understood along with my other Fascinating Planet Science or Exciting Earth Science classes on:
1) Exciting Earth Science of the Solar System- Geology, Atmosphere, Oceans and Exploration
2) Planet Science: Earth Science - Geology, Atmosphere & Oceans on Other Planets - 8 week ongoing
Please see my other class listings for more lessons in the School of Hard Rocks!
Metas de aprendizaje
To discover and learn without realising it, because you are having fun! By the end of this course students will understand the Earth Science of Mars.

Orientación para padres
This class may briefly explore the end of the Earth in 5 billion years, the epic scale of the universe, and the idea of planets dying, and although I will point out this will not affect the student or anyone they know, it may be distressing for more sensitive students. This class used PowerPoint presentations including some video snippets. No other 3rd party resources are used.
Recursos externos
Los estudiantes no necesitarán utilizar ninguna aplicación o sitio web más allá de las herramientas estándar de Outschool.
