Experiencia de clase

Welcome to Ms. Abby’s Summer Camp Class!

Join Ms. Abby four days a week for 50 minutes of fun, engaging learning that helps build essential skills for your learner.

This class will review important concepts typically taught between 4th and 5th grade.

Each day, we’ll focus on skill-building activities. Together, we’ll take an exciting tour across the United States, learning about 8 different states. Each week will also feature a fun animal theme! Learners will receive a weekly worksheet related to the featured state and be assigned an animal report to complete.

Each learner will choose an animal based on the weekly theme.

We’ll work on strengthening math skills, including multiplication, division, fractions, and word problems.

Each week, the class will read a book together and answer comprehension questions to improve reading and thinking skills.

We’ll also have a creative writing prompt, and learners will write a short story or another type of written response.

Spelling practice is part of our weekly routine! Each learner will receive a 12-word spelling list. Daily assignments will help them practice the words. On Thursday, we’ll have a quiz covering spelling, geography, and reading comprehension questions.

Learners will need to be able to use Kahoot, as Ms. Abby incorporates it daily as an interactive learning tool.

Thursday is our special day!
We’ll present animal reports, enjoy show and tell, and complete our review quiz.

This class is not only great for academics but also for building friendships and social skills in a fun, welcoming environment.
