Campamento de comprensión lectora de verano (4.º y 5.º grado)

In this ongoing reading comprehension camp, students will explore a variety of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry to build and strengthen essential comprehension skills. While developing strategies to better understand what they read, students will also discover fascinating topics in history, science, and more.

      Key literary elements—such as the plot, setting, figurative language, and author's perspective—will be introduced and discussed as they appear in the readings.
     
     Students will practice making inferences, identifying the author’s purpose, recognizing genres, using context clues to determine vocabulary, and pinpointing the main idea of a passage. Each week, we’ll read a range of engaging texts aloud together.
