In this six-week course, students will learn the fundamentals of paragraph writing, focusing on organizing and composing various types of paragraphs. From informational to opinion, narrative, and fictional paragraphs, students will explore different writing styles and structures to enhance their writing skills. Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and constructive feedback, students will develop the confidence and proficiency needed to craft effective paragraphs.

Course Objectives:
✏️Understand the structure and components of a paragraph.
✏️Identify different types of paragraphs, including informational, opinion, narrative, 
     and fictional.
✏️Learn strategies for organizing thoughts and ideas into coherent paragraphs.
✏️Practice writing paragraphs in different styles and formats.
✏️Receive constructive feedback to improve writing skills.
✏️Develop a love for writing and storytelling.


Materials Needed:
📋Notebook or paper for writing assignments.
📋Pen/pencil and paper for brainstorming and drafting.

Hello Outschool families! My name is Heather Harmon, and I am thrilled to share my love of learning on Outschool with your learner. With 15 years of teaching experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my classes.

I have a masters in education, and I am a certified teacher in elementary education, as well as a Reading Endorsement K-12. Over the years, I have specialized in helping students through extensive training in Science of Reading, dyslexia, and Orton Gillingham.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated proven results in improving students' academic skills. My approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner , ensuring that they not only learn but thrive. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and I am dedicated to unlocking that potential through engaging and interactive lessons.

I am passionate about teaching and committed to creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment where your learner will feel encouraged and motivated. I look forward to working with you and your learner to achieve their fullest potential and make learning a fun and rewarding experience.
