If there is an availability in this section, please don't enroll in this section. It is supposed to be closed. This class is designed for beginner learners who have never taken mandarin before and would like to learn mandarin, learn new vocabulary, and meet new friends to share the same passion for learning a new language: mandarin. The class will primarily be spoken in English, with a 30% chance of mandarin. This is an ongoing class, which means that each week the topics are different and there is no build-up. the class will not start until 2 students are enrolled, thank you materials will be sent before class, there will be print-outs because this is an older children group, please prepare some white paper or bring a notebook to class for note taking weekly plan for the first 7 weeks includes, starting with learning numbers week 2 （6/20)- animals week 3 (6/27)- family members week 4 (7/7)- fruits week 5 (7/13)- body parts week 6 (7/27)- Chinese zodiac week 7 (8/3)-month this will be taught throughout the summer and can likely progress to a year-long learning

I am a native Chinese, certified teacher, studied English as my second language. I specialize in teaching students who are beginning to learn mandarin. I have 10 years of teaching experience. 8 years in the school setting and 2 years in an online setting. I have a BA in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Music as well as a Montessori credential.
My values or philosophy behind my teaching: my focus is on the “whole child,” which means that my lesson plans will focus on stimulating the child physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. As an educator, my lessons will have many interesting subjects that will keep the children engaged. I prefer the use of guidebooks, hands-on tools, and activities to help me teach Mandarin/English in a fun and productive way.
Passion: my passion has always been learning. In my spare time, I love playing the guitar, collecting children’s books, and making use of the time to learn, plan lessons, and take classes. I think learning is exciting and I want to make learning fun for the children as well.
