This summer math course is designed to help students review key 4th grade skills and build a strong foundation for success in 5th grade. Through guided practice, hands-on activities, and problem-solving strategies, students will strengthen their understanding of core math concepts while boosting their confidence. We’ll cover topics such as place value, multi-digit addition and subtraction, multiplication and division strategies, fractions, and word problems—all in a supportive and engaging environment. This class is perfect for students who want to avoid the summer slide and feel ready to tackle 5th grade math with confidence! This course provides students with the tools and confidence to succeed in 5th grade math and beyond. Decimal Place Value
In this lesson, students will review place value from the ones to the thousandths place. They'll learn how to read, write, and compare decimals, as well as use place value charts to understand the relationship between digits. Lección 2:
Multi-Digit Multiplication
Students will review strategies for multiplying whole numbers using area models, partial products, and the standard algorithm. The lesson includes practice with multi-digit problems and word problems to strengthen conceptual understanding and accuracy. Lección 3:
Whole Number Division
This lesson focuses on dividing multi-digit whole numbers using place value strategies, area models, and the standard algorithm. Students will solve division problems with and without remainders and apply their skills to word problems. Lección 4:
Decimal Division and Multiplication
