During this week long debate camp students will learn advanced argumentation tactics and bring their skills to the next level. This class should be taken by people who have taken our introductory and intermediate curriculum, or students with prior debate experience. Each class will include a short lecture followed by an activity to help students learn the skill being taught during the lecture portion of class. Students will learn how about different political, philosophical, and social questions that commonly arise in everyday discourse and in debate. These lectures are designed to help students learn how to better listen to their opponents, develop critical thinking skills, and discern the difference between reliable and unreliable sources for evidence. By the end of the two week students will have developed their public speaking skills, logical reasoning, as well as their ability to listen to and understand others. Week One
Monday: Recap of Basics of Debate, A Lesson on Objectivity and Subjectivity, and a Return to Ethos Activity
Tuesday: Debate Format, A Lesson on Utilitarianism and Deontology, with Guided Prep for Same Day Rounds
Wednesday: Research and the Credibility of Sources, Truth and Cross-Examination, Guided Prep for Thursday's Rounds
Thursday: Rounds 1 & 2, Closing Speeches, and Speech Redos, A Lesson on Discourse and Communication
Friday: A Lesson on Disadvantages, a Return to Adventuring, and Topic Prep for Monday's Rounds

Week Two
Monday: Speaking Drills, Rounds 3 & 4, and Speech Redos
Tuesday: A Lesson on Opportunity Costs, and Role Playing the Options
Wednesday: A Lesson on Political Realism, the Prisoner's Dilemma, Guided Prep for Day For Thursday's Rounds
Thursday: Rounds 5 & 6, Debate Games for Eliminated Teams, Prep for Qualifying Teams
Friday: Semifinals, Finals, and Parting Thoughts
