Curso de verano: ¡Dinamita! Club de Música, Cultura y Creatividad BTS para edades de 11 a 15 años

Through a blend of interactive games, creative projects, and funny discussions, get ready to express your creativity and connect with fellow ARMY members!

In this 10 week class, fellow ARMY will enjoy playing games, watching videos, discussing their favorite moments, and creating visual art around their favorite K-POP group.. BTS! Bangtan Boys have had wild success in the industry and deserve all the fans they've racked up over the years. Who's your bias?

I love RM. His personality makes me so happy! But Jin has a great sense of humor.. Hmm.. I don't think I can pick-- truly!

Craft Projects will vary, with supplies being posted to families one week in advance so parents have time to collect supplies. All supplies will be made as affordable as possible. And students that do not have access to the materials will be given plenty of other choices that don't require ANY money to create. :-)

The current class schedule is as follows:

⇢ Week 1: Official Music Videos: Analyzing visual storytelling, symbolism, and choreography. Begin fun group project! (Separate from Final Project)

⇢ Week 2: Concerts: Reviewing concert footage to demonstrate BTS's stage presence and audience interaction.

⇢ Week 3:  Lyrics: Showing age-appropriate lyric videos with translations so students can understand the meaning of the songs. Start discussions on the themes of the songs. 

⇢ Week 4: Korean Culture: Using videos to illustrate cultural references in BTS's music and lyrics.

⇢ Week 5: Interviews: Show interviews where the members talk about their personal growth, and the meaning behind their music. 

⇢ Week 6: Social Media: Showing examples of how BTS uses social media to connect with fans. 

⇢ Week 7: Documentary:  Show excerpts from documentaries or interviews that provide insights into BTS's journey and philosophy. Turn in your contribution to the Group Project.

⇢ Week 8: Fan Art: Show examples of positive fan art, dance covers, and creative projects.

⇢ Week 9: Quizzes: Test your knowledge on all things BTS! Take fun teacher-created quizzes about BTS's history, members, and music. 

⇢ Week 10: Final Project: Put together a Poster Board show-casing all your favorite moments/members/videos/lyrics!


Each class will be something new, and it will always be student-led. I will work to create an inclusive classroom, where everyone feels heard and seen (to their own level of comfort), and steer conversations into positive territory. We will work both individually on art projects, and collectively as a group. It's gonna be Dynamite!
