This camp will introduce students to French! As with all my French camps for beginners, they can be taken out of order. Each camp is a compilation of some of the classes in my Level 1 classes Découvrir Le Français and are perfect for beginners with little to no experience in French. 

Each class will be structured as follows: introductions by both the teacher and students (this will take place in English), and then we will switch to learning in French. In each class, students will learn through repetition and voice variation. They will have the opportunity to speak throughout the class. Because of this, a working microphone is required. Repetition for language acquisition is key and will play a large part in this course, both in the form of speaking and singing (don't worry, you don't need to be a professional. It's just for fun!) This is a beginner level French class.

The class structure will be as follows: 
Day 1: Weather
Day 2: Zoo animals 
Day 3: Places to go (eg. the grocery store; home; schools; etc.) 
Day 4: Transportation (planes, cars, boats, etc.) 

Students will receive a handout after each class going over the material they learned that day. They are encouraged to come to class ready to learn and have fun! I hope to see you soon.

In order for all students to hear me in class, I employ a strict muting policy. I will unmute students one at a time so they can work with me, and all students will have many opportunities to speak. Young students may need a parent to help them unmute. I go over the muting policy each class as a reminder to students. Additionally, due to Outschool policy, students must identify themselves on camera at least once at the beginning of class.
