Ready to embark on a heroic quest alongside Percy Jackson and his fellow demigods? Join our summer camp as we navigate Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan in both its action-packed literary form and its silver screen adaptation! 🗡️ YOUR QUEST ITINERARY 🗡️ Our demigod training meets TWICE in one mythical week: FIRST MEETING: THE PROPHECY (BOOK DISCUSSION) Dive into Rick Riordan's world where Greek mythology meets modern adventure! We'll analyze epic quests, decode monster encounters, examine heroic characters, uncover mythological themes, and appreciate the author's witty storytelling style—all at our Camp Half-Blood roundtable where every demigod's voice matters! ORACLE SHARING: Bring your favorite prophecy (quote) from the book (hilariously sarcastic or deeply heroic—all welcome!), most memorable monster encounter, or character that impressed you most. Sharing is optional but enhances your demigod status! Quest Preparation: Independent reading, audiobook listening, or parent read-alouds—all are acceptable methods of receiving your prophecy! SECOND MEETING: THE QUEST VISUALIZED (MOVIE DISCUSSION) After viewing the 2013 film adaptation, we'll gather around the campfire to compare heroic journeys: Did the Golden Fleece appear as magical as you imagined it? How did the sea monsters in the film compare to the book's descriptions? What changes did the filmmakers make to Percy's quest? Which version of the Sea of Monsters felt more epic—page or screen? Viewing Options: Available on Disney+ or for rent from several streaming services, including Amazon! ⚔️ OUR CAMP HALF-BLOOD GATHERINGS ⚔️ Our council meetings ensure every demigod's voice is heard!
