In this multi-day summer drawing camp, students learn to sketch realistic horse faces, hair, and full body horse drawings. Perfect for horse lovers and artists wanting to improve their horse drawing skills, but are not sure where to start. In this class, students will spend four out of the six class sessions drawing several "practice" sketches that are not intended to be finished drawings. Week 1Lesson 1Day 1 (Practice Drawings): Horse Hair & Head1. Students will learn techniques to draw realistic horse hair, using a pencil. 2. Students will learn techniques to draw a realistic horse head and mane, using a pencil. 3. Students will learn techniques to realistically shade, blend, and detail horse hair and a horse head, using a pencil and an eraser.Lesson 2Day 2 (Practice Drawings): Horse Head Gesture Drawings1. Students will learn what a gesture drawing is, using reference photos provided by the teacher. 2. Students will learn techniques to draw proportionate horse head gesture drawings, using a pencil, colored pencil, marker, or pen. 3. Students will learn to draw different angles of a horse head through gesture drawings, using a pencil, colored pencil, marker, or pen. 4. Students will learn techniques to draw loose sketches of horse faces, using a pencil, colored pencil, marker, or pen.Lesson 3Day 3 (Finished Drawing): Horse Head Colored Pencil Drawing (Paint Horse)1. Students will learn techniques to draw a proportionate horse head (top of ears to the chest), using a pencil. 2. Students will learn techniques to draw realistic and proportionate horse head, using colored pencils. 3. Students will learn to combine previously learned techniques to create a realistic drawing of a horse's face, using colored pencil.Week 2Lesson 4Day 4 (Practice Drawings): Full Body Horse Gesture Drawing Studies1. Students will learn techniques to draw proportionate full body horses, using gesture drawings. 2. Students will learn what a line of action is, using reference photos/horse figures to draw several gesture drawings, using a pencil, colored pencil, marker, or pen. 3. Students will learn techniques to draw loose sketches of full body horse figures in different poses, using a pencil, colored pencil, marker, or pen.Lesson 5Day 5 (Practice Drawings): Horse Legs & Hooves1. Students will learn techniques to sketch realistic and proportionate horse legs and hooves, using a pencil. 2. Students will learn techniques to realistically shade horse legs, arms, and hooves, using a pencil and an eraser. 3. Students will learn to combine previously learned techniques to create a realistic, full body horse gesture drawing.Lesson 6Day 6 (Finished Drawing): Full Body Horse Colored Pencil Drawing (Quarter Horse)1. Students will learn techniques to draw a realistic full body horse running, using a pencil. 2. Students will learn techniques to shade realistic horse legs, arms, and hair, using colored pencils. 3. Students will learn to combine previously learned techniques to create a realistic, full body drawing of a horse running, using colored pencil.

5 archivos disponibles al momento de la inscripciónREQUIRED FOR STUDENTS: -Paper (drawing paper, sketchbook, etc. If you are unable to get this, regular paper is fine.) -Pencil -Eraser (new, everyday pencil top erasers and/or kneaded eraser if possible) -Pencil sharpener -Blending tool (Blending stumps, Q-tips, cotton balls, tissues, etc. If you are unable to get these supplies, students may use their fingers to blend.) -Colored Pencils: white, black, peach, light brown, dark brown, green, yellow OPTIONAL: -White gel pen
