It can be frustrating as a dancer or an athlete not to be able to do things that may seem simple such as touching our toes. If you're an athlete and your legs sometimes feel like lead or a dancer who can't do the splits you're not alone. Your muscles just need a little extra help that they aren't getting from your regular warm-up routine or a regular Yoga class. Each class start with a welcome and share, plus students can tell the instructor about any sore muscles or injuries. This class is ideal for: - Runners, Basketball Players, Soccer Players, and athletes who sprint a lot. - Dancers who can't do the splits. - Students who feel like they struggle to touch their toes. - Students who feel like they have limited range of motion in their backs or hips. This class involves physical movement (all abilities are welcome). It is recommended to have water nearby. Students should refrain from eating during class. This class combines core strengthening, stretching, foam rolling, and self-myofascial release techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase flexibility. All exercises can be modified based on students physical ability. Frequently Asked Questions: My kid has their front splits, is this class a good fit? If your kiddo is willing to take feedback on their form (is their front split open or square, do they have their over split, pancake, or middle split), then this class is helpful. My kid is a gymnast/ dancer/ figure skater/ swimmer/ tennis player/ soccer player... is this a good fit? Most exercises and techniques in this class benefit all participants. There are few exercises that gymnast need, but tennis players don't need. The teacher will call out when students should do different moves. What if we can't attend both days? Families have a few options: - Ask to be transferred to a different day/ time (example 9am Tuesday and 7:30pm Friday) - Pause the subscription - Ask for the recording (recordings are automatically available online if other students are enrolled in that class time and show up, if no one shows up, a recording is not made) We got stuck in traffic and there's no recording, help!? Families have a few options: - Rae can transfer the student to a different time for a make-up lesson - Rae can send the student an instructional video What if we're away for a week? Families have a few options: - Pause the subscription (your spot will not be held, but you are ahead of anyone on the waitlist) -Stop the subscription ( you can re-enroll at any time)

By registering for this class it is understood that each family has considered the space the child is moving in and it's appropriateness for a movement based activity.
