Estrategia de la semana: Tutoría de comprensión lectora con un especialista certificado en lectura

Want your child to improve their reading comprehension skills? Worried they do not enjoy reading because they cannot understand the text? Then this class is for them!

In this ongoing, interactive course, students will meet with a certified reading specialist to listen to and interact with a high interest read aloud. With the text being read aloud, the focus can be taken off of fluency and placed on understanding. A comprehension strategy will be explicitly modeled and then practiced, so that there will be easy-to-follow steps to support their thinking. After each sessions, they'll have a new skill they can immediately implement into their own reading!

Each class will have the following format:
-Interactive Read Aloud 
-Explicit Reading Strategy Modeling
-Guided Practice
-Sharing
