Esta clase es perfecta para los pequeños estudiantes a quienes les ENCANTA escuchar historias. En cada clase leeremos un libro, hablaremos sobre lo que sucedió y desarrollaremos las habilidades que los niños necesitan para convertirse en lectores independientes.

Sharing books and exploring stories is one of my favourite things. There is so much opportunity to grow children's knowledge and Did you know there are important skills that you need to learn to be able to read? In our sessions I will introduce these important pre reading skills and provide opportunity to practice these skills. Week Beginning 18th November: Rosie's Walk Week Beginning 25th November: The Rainbow Fish Week Beginning 2nd December: The cat in the hat. Week Beginning 9th December: Who Sank The Boat? Week Beginning 16th December: We're Going on a Bear Hunt No Class Week of 23rd December Week Beginning 30th December: Are We There Yet? Week Beginning 6th January: Alexander's Outing Week Beginning 13th January: Little Red Hen Week Beginning 20th January: Are You My Mother? Week Beginning 27th January: Hattie and the Fox The Pre Reading skills introduced will be based on the needs and pre reading level of children in the group. Some learners may require oral language games and opportunities to build talking skills while others may be ready to tackle syllables, rhyme, identifying initial sounds and early blending. I have over 20 years experience as a teacher, including working in school leadership. I am passionate about great quality education and making learning accessible to everyone. I love teaching in all areas of literacy and helping learners build skills and confidence in reading and writing.
I have taught children from 3 years old to 12 years old and love working with a variety of ages. I believe in making learning interesting and using teaching strategies that are proven to work. I offer 1-1 tutoring, classes based on oral language, pre-school classes and special interest groups like Lego or book club. If you have a request please let me know!
