En esta clase continua, realizaremos un experimento científico simple en cada reunión y jugaremos un juego científico Kahoot para repasar lo que aprendimos. Nuevos experimentos científicos y temas de Kahoot cada semana para que los estudiantes puedan unirse en cualquier momento.

In this ongoing class we will perform a different science experiment each week. Topics stand alone so students can join at any time. We will also play a science kahoot game to review what we learned at the end of each class. I teach in an interactive way! I love involving students in discussion! SUMMER 2024 Week of June 17th: Building bridges popsicle sticks cardboard masking tape Week of July 15th: Nature Journal Brown paper bag Scissors Hole punch Stapler Glue Yarn Papers for inside (blank or printed prompts) Week of July 22nd: Magic Milk 2% or whole milk dish soap food coloring cotton swabs Pie pan or plate with an edge Week of August 5th: Slime Washable PVA school glue (like Elmer's®) Water Baking soda Contact lens solution (must contain both boric acid and sodium borate in ingredients) Food coloring (optional) Glitter (optional) Measuring spoons Measuring cup Mixing bowl Spatula Resealable plastic bags or food storage containers Week of August 12th: Ice Cream in a Bag 1 cup half and half (milk works too - any kind including almond) 1.5 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp sugar ice (2 cups) 1/4 cup salt Ziploc bags 1 Small, 1 Large (optional mix-ins like chocolate chips/sprinkles/strawberries)

Students will need parental supervision for our science experiments each week. We will use a Kahoot game each week to review. Students can use the kahoot app downloaded to a phone or tablet or just go to kahoot.it in a web browser with a parents help to play the game. Students will always have the option of playing on a team with the teacher instead of signing into the game.
