Have you ever wished on a star? Each week, we will look at a new constellation, or group of stars, and learn its story. Since the beginning of time, people have looked up into the sky and told stories about the stars-- stories about heroes and villains, epic tales of bravery, or tales to help them understand the mysteries of science and the universe. Each week, we will look at a different constellation, tell its star story using tales from around the world, learn some of the science behind the stars and space, and do a craft or other project to help us remember as we stargaze throughout the week. Special attention will be paid to representing stories from mythologies around the world.

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, and we will be incorporating all five into this weekly class.

Orientación para padres
Sometimes, mythology can be scary. Because of the recommended age range for this class, stories will be told in the least frightening way possible.
Lista de útiles escolares
Materials will be listed each week. It is highly recommended that learners have foil or other star stickers as well as black or dark blue paper each week to create representations of the constellations. Chalk will also work.
