Some coloring may need to be finished outside of class.Experiencia de clase
In this ongoing class students will learn to draw TWO squishmallow characters each class and socialize in a safe and cheerful environment. We will draw in real time and learn the steps for drawing different characters with each weekly theme. Some characters are based on holiday themes during the week preceding a holiday. Drawing skills that we will practice include: pencil sketching, sighting/measuring, color gradient, facial expressions, and ink. During drawing time we will also encourage discussion among peers to share favorite experiences or insights related to the theme. This is a fun art class that will allow for relaxing and chatting, while sharing some giggles with friends and drawings that put us in a happy mood. -2025- Week of January 6: Star-eyed kittycorn and Yeti Week of January 13: Harrison the Dog OR golden retriever and St. Bernard Week of January 20: Duck and Kirby Week of January 27: Narwhal and Penguin Week of February 3: Pokemon (Jigglypuff and Pikachu) Week of February 10: Valentine Sloth and Valentine Cinnamoroll Week of February 17: Monkey and Poodle Week of February 24: Butterfly and Dragon Week of March 3: Boba and Lemonade Week of March 10: Leprechaun Fairy OR Bunny and Sheep Week of March 17: Octopus and Stingray Week of March 24: Pink chick and Hello Kitty bunny Week of March 31: Rainbow and Bee Week of April 7: Goat and Guinea pig Week of April 14: Border Collie and Corgi Week of April 21: Macaw and Wooly Mammoth Week of April 28: Bluey and Chili (Mum) Week of May 6: Cam the Cat and Axolotl Week of May 13: Bandit (Bluey's Dad) and Bingo Week of May 20: Frog and Poptart Week of May 27: ? and Stitch Week of June 2: Dinosaurs: Triceratops and Ankylosaurus Week of June 9: Smore and Raina the Butterfly Week of June 16: Gazelle and Cheetah Week of June 23: Cactus and Taco Week of June 30: Spidey and Friends Week of July 7: Cow and Chicken Week of July 14: Seal and Walrus Week of July 21: Watermelon and Orange Week of July 28: Merkitty and Caterpillar Week of August 4: Mickey and Minnie Week of August 11: Lava lamp and Fennec Fox Week of August 18: Bunny and Badger Week of August 25: Burger and Fries Week of September 1: Cupcake and Ice cream Sundae Week of September 8: Flamingo and Panda Week of September 15: Rainbow Hedgehog and Sonic Week of September 22: Monarch Butterfly and Mushroom Week of September 29: Scarecrow and Cauldron Week of October 6: Halloween (ghost and Spider) Week of October 13: Halloween (candy corn and kitty witch) Week of October 20: Halloween (skeleton and mummy) Week of October 27: Halloween (bat and vampire) Week of November 3: Whaleshark and Koala Week of November 10: Acorn and Squirrel Week of November 17: Pumpkin Pie and Turkey Week of November 24: (No class on Thanksgiving) Week of December 1: Fall woodland creatures (moose and raccoon) Week of December 8: Christmas (gingerbread axolotl and hot cocoa) Week of December 15: Christmas (reindeer and Christmas kitty) Week of December 22: Christmas (Santa and tree) Week of December 29: Elf and Polar Bear * Weekly themes subject to change for student requests or needs.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Licenciatura en Música o Teatro o Artes desde Brigham Young University Idaho
Hello! I am BriAnn Ongesel. I have taught online classes for over 7 years and over 2 years here on Outschool. I teach art classes to ages 5-17.
I have my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University Idaho. I also studied UX/UI design from California Institute of the Arts. I am currently a freelance designer, online teacher, and mother of four.
I believe that the best learning comes from doing. Students learn from practicing the principles taught and from sharing what they learn with their peers. It is important to have fun in my classes, as well as talking with other students about class concepts and similar interests. Learning is about chasing what excites you and diving into all you can with it.
My hobbies include reading, drawing, and baking. I love good food - including 'nicecream', butternut squash, and cheesecake.
