Evaluación
Throughout the class, I will have artists share their work with me to see their progress and ask questions as they arise.

Experiencia de clase

After brief introductions and check-in for all the supplies needed, we will get right to work!

We will use different combinations of media each day to create beautiful spring compositions, including watercolors, chalk pastels, markers, and more.

Artists will learn new techniques that can be used for future projects throughout the year encompassing many elements of art like line, shape, color, texture, value as well as design principles such as balance, pattern, and variety.

I will demonstrate everything on my art cam, as well as have a completed example of everything to show the students. I will encourage respectful conversation and questions along the way and I will check in with everyone as steps are completed to ensure that they are understanding the process.

Grab your supplies, and a fruity snack, and meet me in the studio!

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Licenciatura en Música o Teatro o Artes desde UCLA
I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual arts. I have taught K-12 graders for the last 13 years in a variety of subjects, including a monthly art program that focused on art elements and the art masters. I enjoy teaching simple concepts that allow my students to experiment, explore and express themselves in new ways. I love discovering how one technique can have unexpected results and even be used in new ways. Sharing these colorful techniques with young artists makes the process even more exciting- I often learn from them as well!
