Want your child to communicate in Spanish? In this immersive class, students will acquire language in a fun and engaging way! Through stories, songs, and games students will be exposed to culture and the Spanish language. This class is ideal for students who have a little bit amount of Spanish language experience, but complete beginners are welcomed! A typical class follows the following routine: (but may be adapted to better meet the needs of the students in the class) 1.) Greetings 2.) Introduce vocabulary and phrases of the day 2.) Class theme story, video, song, etc. 3.) Activity 4.) Review Class themes and stories differ for each class and may be changed based on student interests! Themes include: Family, pets, home, weather, travel, sports, music, art, friends, food, hobbies, etc! 1. Week of June 5th: Like/dislikes 2. Week of June 12th: Animals 3. Week of June 19th: Family 4. Week of June 26th: Sports

Hello and welcome!
My name is Chanel and I teach classes here on Outschool! In addition to teaching online, I also teach at a public school in NY and am the advisor for our Language Club!
I have a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction! I have experience living abroad in Spain, Ecuador, and Argentina as well as teaching both English and Spanish abroad.
I value a student-centered approach and make it my goal to make sure every student leaves class feeling confident in their Spanish abilities :)
