¡Bienvenidos!  Welcome to the Online Spanish Conversational Class for Beginners!

This is a weekly on-going conversation club for learners ages 10-14 that meets twice a week for 40 minutes.

This interactive and engaging course is designed to introduce the basics of conversational Spanish. Whether you have little to no prior knowledge of the language or want to refresh your skills, this course will help you build the confidence to participate in simple conversations in Spanish.

Interactive speaking activities will be conducted in a supportive online environment, encouraging students to practice pronouncing new words and responding to questions with their peers and the instructor. A lot of visual aids, drawings and cognates are used to help learners understand and respond.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, you will have gained the confidence to respond to simple questions with one-word answers and gradually transitioned to constructing full sentences in Spanish. This foundation will serve as a stepping stone for furthering your Spanish language journey, empowering you to communicate with Spanish speakers in a variety of everyday situations.

In each 40 minute meeting, we will focus on ten -fifteen new vocabulary words in a specific conversational topic. Other words will be presented but the goal will be to repeat 10-15 for each topic repeatedly throughout the lesson. In addition, important conversational vocabulary structures will be repeated throughout the entire course.

Language of Instruction: The class is primarily taught in Spanish. English is used for activity clarification and explanation.
