In this ongoing course, young kids meet once a week to learn Spanish through songs, flashcards, games, and stories. A native Spanish and professional certified teacher teaches this class. Great class for Preschool. 

Hola! Hello! Welcome to "From Spain with love" where I teach Spanish to Preschool Children. This exceptional ongoing class is designed for the youngest ones. This class meets once per week for 30 minutes. I also offer this class twice per week, 30 minutes each. Check my profile for more fun Spanish! 

This class is ESL Friendly. Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. (CEFR: all levels) Class is appropriate for CEFR: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2.

The lessons include: 

1. A song
2. New vocabulary acquisition with flashcards
3. A short story
4. A game to practice the new vocabulary
5. An optional take-home activity
6. Lots of interaction, Spanish, and fun!

*Every lesson has a consistent structure of Circle Time, Story Time, and Art Time. This predictable and safe routine puts young learners’ minds in a receptive state for language learning. 
In Circle Time we sing songs and play games with students. In Story Time I read them a Spanish children’s story. In Art Time we complete a project together. Each segment has a lot of opportunities for meaningful communication in Spanish.
 Young children have the ability to acquire a second language naturally. In each lesson, we create an immersion environment by speaking Spanish at least 90% of the time.
The combination of immersion in the context of fun and age-appropriate activities ensures that students have the opportunity to acquire Spanish naturally.
 Review is written into every lesson so that students get the benefit of valuable repetition with vocabulary and phrases.

All levels are welcome, but this class is more recommended for beginners. I also offer Intermediate Spanish classes and Advanced.
This is a professional curriculum designed by Spanish educators.

This is a learner-led Spanish class. This means that I will select a topic that I believe will benefit most students enrolled in the course, considering their age and level of Spanish proficiency. Together, we will explore this topic and work collaboratively to enhance our Spanish language skills. So, come prepared to engage and learn in a dynamic and interactive classroom environment!

WHY LEARN SPANISH?

Knowing Spanish opens the door for you to communicate with 400 million people worldwide. In the United States alone, there are close to 54 million people who speak Spanish. According to projections in Forbes Magazine, by 2050 one in three people in the U.S. will speak Spanish. But not only that.

Spanish lessons for kids offer an array of benefits beyond communication:

* Learning another language is fun!
* A second language helps widen your child's world, introducing them to and offering them opportunities with other cultures at home and abroad.
* Foreign language study improves reading and communication skills, boosting SAT scores.
* Bilingual children and adults are better at staying focused, problem-solving, and recognizing and acting on new inputs, making school and business life easier.
* Simply thinking in another language has been shown to help people make quicker, better decisions.
* Speaking a foreign language presents better educational and career prospects and the opportunity for a higher standard of living.
* Learning foreign languages even prevents dementia later in life.
* Improves memory and analytical skills.
* It strengthens the brain muscles.
* It helps travel with ease.
* Improves confidence! 

Speaking Spanish, after all, can change your life. 

HOW YOUNG IS TOO YOUNG? 

Children can discriminate between two different languages as early as 4-6 months. However, the ability to detect differences fades around 10-12 months without the introduction of a second language. Your window of opportunity has not closed, however. Research indicates preschool-aged children are still far more adept at learning a foreign language than older children and adults. They develop a second language in the same area of the brain as their native tongue. So this is a great opportunity to have your kids learn Spanish, make friends, and have fun!
