Attention all future astronauts, this math class is out of this world! In part three of Space Math for Beginner Astronauts we will explore the exciting world of measurements. Learn all about different units and practice using measuring tools like rulers, scales and even thermometers. In class one we will be introduced to using a ruler. We will talk about inches, millimetres, and centimetres. We will talk about which unit would be appropriate for measuring various things. We'll get lots of practice measuring things with rulers. In class two we'll talk about measuring taller things. We'll talk about using both feet and meters. Have you ever wondered how we would measure an alien if we found one? In this class we'll find out! In class three we'll talk about weight. We'll talk about how we might weigh things like space rocks and practice reading scales. We'll talk about pounds, grams, and kilograms. In class four we'll talk all about temperature and practice reading thermometers. Learn about negative numbers that feel really cold and positive numbers that feel really hot! This class is designed to be very interactive and students will be encouraged to actively participate. Please bring a ruler with you to class number 1!
