This class will be good for learners who are interested in space, have some knowledge about space, or are looking for more space facts. In this 4 week class, which will meet once a week, we will explore our solar system. We will start by exploring the sun and moon. Then we will move on to explore the eight planets in our solar system and some of their moons. Lastly, we will explore stars and constellations. During the four weeks, we will also look at some space vehicles used on the moon and Mars, animals and insects that have traveled in space, and Astronaut travel. The last day of class the learners will need to bring drawing materials and paper, to create their own space art by drawing the planets, stars, moon, and sun. Let's blast off on a fun adventure together!

I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures.
