Welcome! In this ongoing class, children will have the opportunity to practice communication skills, interact with peers, use their social skills and talk about their hobbies and interests. There will be rotating topics including favorite animals/pets (my pets will make cameo appearances,) favorite foods, interests/hobbies, books or movies, etc. I will also have a list of games including Would You Rather questions, understanding idioms, and I spy games. As a mother of a child with autism, I know how important some of these skills can be. This is a welcoming and friendly environment allowing children to feel comfortable. Children are welcome to submit topics for following weeks. 
Week 1  - Getting to know you
Week 2 - Favorite animals/pets
Week 3  - Favorite foods
Week 4 - Interest/Hobbies

While all children are welcome, children with autism, anxiety, and ADHD may find this class particularly helpful. I encourage interaction but also want all children to feel comfortable and welcome. Once a learner has checked in with me, they are more than welcome to turn their camera off if they feel more comfortable that way. Participation via the chat feature is available for all learners to use.
