Club de habilidades socioemocionales para niños de 10 a 12 años

30 minutos horas de clase por semana
Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. Learners will be encouraged to practice each week's focus skill throughout the week. Some written homework will be provided for some lessons, and other weeks students will be asked to practice a certain skill.
Evaluación
These classes will not be assessed.

Experiencia de clase

These social skill lessons will focus on one essential skill for a thirty-minute time block each week.  These lessons are designed to be short in order to hold student interest and to increase participation.
Since this is a social-emotional "club", students will be encouraged, but not required, to share something important to them at the opening of every class.  As these classes progress, learners will bond with one another; since club members are eager to learn about their classmates, this sharing time at the beginning of each club meeting will provide a necessary opportunity for social engagement and practice. 
The remainder of each class will be spent in direct instruction using a power-point presentation, role play, and games designed to support the learning of the focus skill of the week.  Homework will be encouraged in order to practice each new skill. 
There will be a review lesson after every 6 lessons in which we will utilize Kahoot at some point during the class.
