This is a social club for students interested in all things slime. You can join our meetings anytime you feel like sharing, showing, or creating. Students should create a recipe to present to the group. Use what you have! There are many ways to make slime. I have shared several recipes in this description. Participants will have the opportunity to connect over shared interests. Our classroom structure involves discussing, showcasing, sharing, and identifying creations. We'll also discuss our favorite types of slime. If you'd like, you can make slime in real time during the session. How can you make your creation unique? Do you know how to adjust and improve your slime? Students will also explore various ideas and techniques to alter slime's texture. Our social group encourages children to share, present, and express their ideas. My teaching style is energetic and engaging. As an Outschool pare, I value moments when students actively participate in class. Feel free to ask questions at any time. I encourage everyone to speak as much as possible, especially with your classmates. Each student will have the chance to share their insights about slime. I also suggest that students keep a journal to document their experiences with each recipe. Playing with slime is an excellent way to release tension, and it's fascinating how it can promote mindfulness. Moreover, creating and manipulating slime can enhance your motor skills. Be prepared to put your slime through some tests and record your observations in your notebook."

You do not need to make slime. You can share what you have or modify old creations. There are many ways to make slime! Use what you have! :) Keep in mind that adult supervision may be required, especially when dealing with certain ingredients. Basic Slime Recipe: Ingredients: Elmer's glue (clear or white) - about 6 ounces (177 ml) Water - 1/2 cup (120 ml) Borax powder - 1/2 teaspoon (dissolved in 1/2 cup warm water) or use contact lens solution as an alternative to borax Food coloring (optional) Glitter or confetti (optional) Instructions: In a bowl, pour the entire 6 ounces of glue. Add 1/2 cup of water to the glue and mix well. If you want colored slime, add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed. If you want glittery or confetti slime, add glitter or confetti to the mixture and mix thoroughly. In a separate container, dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of borax powder in 1/2 cup of warm water. Alternatively, if you're using contact lens solution, skip this step and move to the next. Slowly add the borax solution (or contact lens solution) to the glue mixture while stirring continuously. Keep adding the solution until the slime starts to come together and pull away from the sides of the bowl. Knead the slime with your hands until it reaches the desired consistency. If it's too sticky, you can add a little more borax solution (or contact lens solution) and knead again. Once the slime is ready, store it in an airtight container when not in use. Remember to start with the recommended measurements and adjust as needed based on the consistency you prefer. Feel free to get creative and experiment with different colors, glitters, or textures to make your slime unique! Edible Slime Recipe (You sub sugar for many things) Ingredients: 1 cup of powdered sugar 1 cup of cornstarch 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (or any other vegetable oil) 1/4 cup of water Food coloring (optional) Flavor extracts (optional, for taste) Instructions: Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar and cornstarch. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the coconut oil to the dry ingredients and mix well. Slowly Add Water: Gradually add water while stirring continuously. You may not need the entire 1/4 cup of water, so add it slowly until you achieve the desired consistency. Knead the Slime: Once the mixture starts to come together, knead it with your hands. If it's too sticky, you can add a bit more cornstarch. If it's too dry, add a bit more water.
