In this engaging Outschool class, second-grade students will explore fundamental mathematical concepts through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and collaborative problem-solving. Throughout this course, students will: Master Addition and Subtraction: Dive into the world of addition and subtraction with confidence! Students will strengthen their fluency in basic arithmetic operations within 100 using a variety of strategies, including number bonds, bar modeling, and mental math techniques. Explore Place Value: Unlock the secrets of place value as we delve into numbers up to 1000. Students will deepen their understanding of ones, tens, and hundreds, learning to decompose and compose numbers and perform operations fluently within this range. I have 10+ years of experience teaching classes to college students and high school students. I enjoy teaching STEM subjects to students of all ages. I especially focus on two subjects: Math and Physics. Class topics range from AP Physics C and Calculus BC to Honor Physics and Algebra.
