Experimentos científicos sencillos (curso de 4 semanas, del 14 de febrero al 7 de marzo)

Let's explore the world of science by completing Simple Science Experiments! Together students will follow along with step by step instructions on how to follow the scientific method in which the will ask questions, test their hypothesis and come to a conclusion to which will help them understand a science concept in a fun and hands on way!

Topics that will be covered will include concepts from physics, chemistry, and biology. We will learn about physics concepts like how air moves under pressure and about reflective light. Chemistry concepts like how ink can separate into different colors and how to make gloop (a fan favorite). As well biology concepts such as what is living in the soil around your home and how to grow your own plants from dried seeds!

In this 4 week class, students will participate in hands-on experiments! No prior knowledge is needed. Students will be responsible for coming to class with the prepared materials that are listed for that weeks experiment. Students will follow along as I instruct step-by-step on how to complete the experiment. Handouts may also be provided that will need to be printed out before class begins.

⇢ Week 1 - Balloon Rocket: Fire a balloon rocket and see how forces do their job.
⇢ Week 2 - Sinking Diver: Watch air under pressure in this activity.
⇢ Week 3 - Floating Flowers: Float these flowers in water and watch what happens.
⇢ Week 4 - Surface Tension: Create beautiful patterns while experimenting with surface tension.
