In this fun-filled, 25-minute class, young readers will explore silly rhymes and playful language through an interactive story. Students are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal friends to class, adding an extra layer of fun and helping to promote speaking and sharing. We’ll focus on recognizing rhyming words, building reading comprehension, and playing a quick and creative word game. By the end of class, your child will be confidently creating their own fun rhymes while enjoying a lighthearted learning experience. Perfect for early readers who love to laugh and learn at the same time! Class Experience: In this 25-minute class, we will: • Read a funny, rhyming story that introduces students to word patterns and helps them practice identifying rhymes. • Discuss the rhyming words from the story and brainstorm some new, silly ones. • Create our own funny rhymes through a short, interactive game that lets students play with words and language. • Share our favorite rhymes with the group, building confidence and encouraging creativity. This class will be interactive and fast-paced to keep students engaged. I will use slides with colorful visuals to guide the lesson, and students will have plenty of chances to participate in discussions, answer questions, and share their rhymes. My teaching style is playful, encouraging, and designed to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to express themselves. By the end of the session, students will leave with stronger rhyming skills, improved reading comprehension, and a big smile!
