In this 12-week Japanese course for enthusiastic learners who have completed Japanese for Kidz II (Session I), Students will use the textbook that was used in Session 1 - Japanese For Young People II - and it's corresponding KANJI Workbook. Over the course of twelve lessons, students will continue on their Japanese language journey by learning more adverbs, adjectives, and verbs that will broaden their ability to talk about the world around them. Students will also build on vocabulary they have learned in the previous session: adjectives, seasons, holidays, festivals, family vocabulary. The Kanji Workbook will be used to support learning with written exercises that correspond with each lesson, as well as learning basic KANJI (Chinese characters) that correspond with each lesson. **As always, our class will include games, videos, and opportunities to review vocabulary on the Quizlet and KAHOOT platforms. It is suggested that parents create a free account on Quizlet.com so that students can use this amazing resource to its fullest. This includes viewing an entire vocabulary set, playing games, taking quizzes, and recording scores on games. YouTube is used as a source in the classroom, but is always age appropriate and supports learning. There is no need to have an account to enjoy the videos in the classroom. Outschool has made it to where all videos can be viewed directly from the classroom without going to the YouTube website.** Over the course of the twelve weeks, due to the volume of adjectives and depth of study, we will only cover two lessons from the text (Lesson 19 - Lesson 20). The following is the breakdown of the twelve weeks of study. At the end of each lesson and session, there will be review and assessment of all material covered. (Note: There may be some variations to this outline based on the needs of each section.)
