**This course assumes that students have a basic understanding of note reading for the Grand Staff. If your student is a beginner, or is unsure of their note reading, I suggest first checking out my other course, “Secret Language of Music: The Grand Staff”. We will dive more into the “Secret Language of Music” as students learn about accidentals. Students will learn about sharps, flats, and naturals. They will learn how each accidental changes the note, in both look and sound. They will also learn the rules of notating accidentals. We will have fun learning the basics, taught with some fun stories to help the concepts “stick”, along with games to solidify the learning.
