Teen Screenwriting Club is an ongoing, drop-in style workshop designed for passionate young screenwriters looking to develop their craft in a collaborative and supportive environment. Each week, students have the opportunity to share their work-in-progress, receive constructive feedback, and engage in dynamic discussions on advanced screenwriting techniques. Whether you're in the middle of a screenplay or just looking for fresh inspiration, this club provides a space to refine your storytelling skills, tackle creative challenges, and build a community with fellow writers. Every session includes a new writing prompt to spark ideas, as well as deep dives into topics such as character development, subtext, cinematic dialogue, visual storytelling, and more. Writers of all experience levels are welcome to join at any time. Just bring your ideas, an open mind, and a passion for storytelling!

Class is designed to support students with unique learning needs, including ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD, by offering step-by-step instruction and a flexible, engaging environment.

We will be using the screenwriting program, WriterSolo, and students may need help creating an account.
We will be watching short film clips, all rated PG. These clips will be screened via screen share, so students won’t need access to YouTube.

No prior experience or prerequisites are required for course. Learners of all skill levels are welcome to join

- Screenplays - We will be reading excerpts from screenplays in order to better understand how narrative elements function in a script.
- Film Clips - Film scenes will also be viewed in class to better understand specific dramatic scenes portrayed on film.
