* I like to keep my classes really small so I can focus on each child- my price per learner is based on that.

** Scratch Jr is different from Scratch. It lays a strong foundation for Scratch coding but it is a totally different software/interface. 

In this class, I will be helping students to understand coding through Scratch Jr. Scratch Jr. is a free app that can be downloaded onto an iPad/Chromebook/ Android tablets. It does not download on a computer/laptop or an iPhone. It is highly recommended to use two devices one for watching the class and the other for working on Scratch Jr. as kids this age find it hard to switch between screens. 

The class will be divided into four days and on each day we will have multiple challenges for the students to perform as they learn. This class will be highly interactive and we will be using the app hands-on to learn.

Day 1: We will learn to add and delete characters, change backgrounds,add text, perform simple movements and add sounds.
 
Day 2: We will learn to grow and shrink characters, change their speeds and perform wait for it actions.

Day 3: We will work on different ways to start an event and discuss broadcasting

Day 4: This will be game day and we will build a game with what we have learned so far

This is a beginner level coding course and does not require any previous coding experience. It is recommended to download the Scratch Jr. app onto the learner's IPad before class begins. 

* For a chromebook if possible download the android version of the app from the play store as that works better.
