What is a noun? What are common vs. proper nouns? Can you list some examples of nouns (both common and proper)? After answering these questions, we will begin our three scavenger hunts. In the first scavenger hunt, students will find nouns in a photo. In the second one, students will find nouns in sentences. In the third and final one, students will be up and moving around to find nouns in their house. For the last scavenger hunt, I will give a clue for a random household item (i.e. find something that is used for measuring). Students will go find that item in their house and bring it to show the group. If a student does not have an item at their house that fits the clue called, they will be asked to draw an item on paper or a whiteboard. More items will be called as time permits. This is sure to be a fun way to learn about and/or review nouns!

Students are encouraged to have a water bottle in case they get thirsty during the final scavenger hunt. 

Parents are encouraged to be nearby in case your student needs help reading the sentences (silently), locating items in the house, or if there are any issues (i.e. technology, etc.) that might need to be addressed.

*Each child must be registered to attend the class; however, siblings/friends can share a screen to participate in the class.
