This class will run from September 6th to June 7th.  Instruction will be given in a relaxed, fun and upbeat manner two times a week.  Students will be rewarded often with verbal cues in an atmosphere that allows them to feel comfortable to ask questions and share ideas or just something they may be excited about.  The goal of this class is to make math an enjoyable experience for each student.  Students should leave class feeling confident and excited to learn more.  An assortment of learning techniques will be used to meet the needs of each learner.  

Class will typically begin with a fun warm up activity (puzzle, video, game, review problems) followed by an engaging slideshow presentation led by the teacher.  
No matter what the format, in each lesson, the students will be given time for some guided practice of what they just learned. This might be some practice problems, playing a game like Kahoot or completing a hands on activity.  Students will also be encouraged to complete some assigned practice work before the next class to make sure they don't forget what they just learned.

Unit 2 – Solving One-Step Equations and Inequalities 
Unit 3 – Decimals and Equations 
Unit 4 – Factors, Fractions, And Exponents 
Unit 5 – Operations with Fractions 
Unit 6 – Ratios, Proportions, and Percentages 
Unit 7 – Solving Equations and Inequalities 
Unit 8 – Linear Functions and Graphing 
Unit 9 – Spatial Thinking 
Unit 10 – Area and Volume 
Unit 11 – Right Triangles in Algebra 
Unit 12 – Data Analysis and Probability 
Unit 13 – Nonlinear Functions and Polynomials
