Clase de ruso para principiantes, sesión uno, a tu propio ritmo

Russian For Beginners is a Flexible Schedule class  for young learners with NO LIVE CLASSES. 
It is a 6 week course.
In this class students will watch a class video provided on the Outschool class page and learn phonics, alphabet, colors, numbers , fruits and vegetables in Russian language. 

-There are 6 to 9 videos 4-10 minutes long that I post every week for 6 weeks. Each video has homework.

-Every week I provide handout as well.( includes activities)

-There are 2 online interactive white board games that reinforce vocabulary and grammar during the course.
 
The class is conducted in Russian (with English translation) by a native speaker, it will provide learning skills in literacy, math, art, and Russian culture. In this class the student will learn basic Russian phonics and pronunciation through songs and picture association.
 The curriculum is designed to keep early learners engaged.

Each week I will have a new task for every student. The first task will be making a video different  for each week: 

-to learn and sing a song,

-to say a part of the alphabet (in 4 parts) and the words that start with the letters

-to remember the names of the colors while finding something of the same color around you.

-to remember at least 5 animals and to use color words that describe them

-to remember one most important and simple grammar rule and use it on the words of the week (using vision memory)

-to remember 5 fruits and use the grammar rule on them. 

-to remember 5 vegetables and to use the grammar rule on them

-to use the grammar rule on new vocabulary words but this time adding adjective to it (describe the fruit by color)
 
-to learn the counting song. To sing it and to count on the fingers while doing the dance.


Another task for each week will be to post a picture with :

-to make specific letters of the week out of play dough and color them in with specific color (handout provided)

-to draw an illustration inspired by the story time of the week.

-to try and write specific letter of the week.

--to use the grammar rule with new vocabulary words but this time to use hearing memory. To recognize the word and post the answer.

Classroom games:

-«У Маши белый сарафан» (Masha has a white dress) Each student will find one item from their room and show it in the video, the next student will use new vocabulary to describe the item. This game helps with grammar and color vocabulary.

-“Машин любимый зверь»  (Masha’s favorite animal) Each student will show the card (provided in the handout) and try to use it in a sentence (My favorite animal is a dog).
Next student will talk about previous student favorite animal and about their favorite animal.
This reinforces the grammar and the vocabulary.

-«Маша ест зелёное яблоко» (Masha is eating a green apple ) This game will reinforce grammar rule we learn in this class.
The flash cards are provided in the handout.

- «Что растёт у соседа» (Peak in your neightbor’ s garden)  Each student will make their own garden with flash cards provided in the handout (fruits and vegetables).
First student talks about teacher’s garden and what grows in there, then shows their garden.
Next student talks about their classmate’s garden.
This game reinforces several grammar rules, phonics, color and fruit and vegetable vocabulary.
