Students must be comfortable reading and writing in Russian prior this class. In this on-going class we will meet on a regular weekly schedule. The theme will be announced a week prior to the class in the classroom messages. The class is conducted in Russian (with English translation) by a native speaker, it will provide learning skills in literacy, math, art, and Russian culture, new vocabulary each week. Each week will be a new theme and a new vocabulary. Each week I will be teaching a new way to engage both sides of the students brain to help them develop the parts of the brain that are responsible for speech, creativity and flexibility of mind. During the class students learn new phrases, new grammar and practice it in a form of question/answer with each other and teacher. The class is designed to keep early learners engaged through classic Russian fairytales and rhymes. The student will learn a variety of vocabulary while we read stories and sing songs that reinforce the vocabulary. An abundance of activities including flash cards, play doh, Schleich animals, songs, coloring and more creates a fun and engaging time for students. Hi, My name is Vlada and I teach Russian language from US.
I was born and Russia and spend half of my life in there. I have gotten classical education in one of the oldest European Universities in Russia.
I have lived in US for 15 years and I love teaching Russian to my students.
I come from a family of teachers and early childhood educators.I would love to share my methods of teaching the Russian language to kids through play, fun and association.
Studies by Harvard University confirm that the creativity, critical thinking skills, and flexibility of the mind are significantly enhanced if children learn a second and a third language at a younger age. From zero to seven are believed to be a vital period in a child’s life. This is when the foundations for attitudes, thinking, and learning, among others, are laid down.
Happy Learning!
