In this action-packed adventure, learners will build characters, roll play the story, and use critical thinking skills to try to outwit their ruthless competition in a street race. No need to fool any humans here - you have been part of the street racing culture for some time and are formidable in your own right. However, due to your small stature you have to work as a team to keep the car moving in the right direction AND keep an eye on your dirty-dealing rivals who would do anything to win. It is a great socialization experience as well as learners will have four hours of fun together being guided gently by the Game Master (GM). What to expect when you are a racer: - The GM will ensure that everyone can feel safe in the campaign by laying down some basic rules at the beginning of the game (see below). Any learner not following the rules will be warned only once before getting placed into a private breakout session room for a few minutes to remind themselves of the rules. Break the rules twice, and that bear will be kicked out of the game. - FUN FIRST rules second... the GM will allow any reasonable actions to be taken in the game scenario and will work with players to allow for the best outcome. However, the dice decide the fate of an action as successful or not. - Plenty of time for team work. This game is all about acting as part of a team, and there will not be a lot of talking from the GM other than to build a scene so that the bears feel immersed in the campaign. - BREAKS will be taken as needed and there will be scheduled 15 minute break in the middle of the campaign to stretch our legs, go to the bathroom and grab snacks/drinks. When signing up for this campaign, racers are expected to follow the following rules (along with the general Outschool rules): 1. Be respectful of your fellow bears and the GM - take turns talking (you can feel free to use the chat function if you feel extra chatty and just need to get your thoughts out at once), use a racer's preferred pronouns, do not harm your fellow teammates and keep your language and actions appropriate for your age group. 2. Do not argue about actions that did not succeed - it happens - sometimes failure can make the best stories. 3. Work as part of the team (you can have secret agendas, but the should not hinder the team from their overall success.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello! am a scientist and adventurer. I have a Masters degree in Animal Science with minors in Chemistry and Fish & Wildlife. I started my journey investigating sheep and goats, went on to study shrimp and zooplankton, and have many years of experience teaching STEM to students from preschool up to college.
The classes that I am currently teaching cover Food Science, Animal Science, Ichthyology, STEM experiments, and Women in STEM.
All my classes are anchored in exciting themes such as "Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse through STEM", "Interesting Animals from A to Z", and "Microscopic Adventures!". I generally have a short presentation which I try to keep 5-10 minutes long with the rest of the class time working with hands on learning. I create all my own high-quality material that your students will enjoy engaging with. My classroom is inclusive to all.
Interesting facts about myself:
1) I am an identical twin.
2) I have studied seabirds in Antarctica.
