Roblox - Diseño de juegos - Crea tu propio juego de laberinto

Roblox is a fun game which teaches kids physics, logic and game development. It is well known for the fact that all games on Roblox are designed by the community and is a fun and safe place for kids to learn game designing, VFX etc. In this 8 week course, our young learners will learn the basics of game designing, creating an obstacle course game which they can share and play with their friends.

Device : PC /Laptop , Roblox Studio is only available on Windows and Mac and does not work on Tablets or Chrome books . Please ensure you have a mouse for this class and the devices are not just touch screen.

Skill level : basic reading skills , beginner to coding

Day 1: About Roblox games, What are the different game genres, downloading studio, knowing the interface, panels and toolbox. We will learn camera controls and navigation skills as well. We will learn how to add spawns. Task - change you spawn colour , remove decal and add spawns for your friends.
Day 2: Maze creation - Adding the maze , security walls and understanding the properties of the panel.We will learn how to use the tool box and look for simple mazes that we would like our friends to solve. We will work on the aesthetic of the maze, creating night sky and making our maze look spooky.   Task - Securing the maze. 
Day 3: Swords and TNTs - Using the tool box for swords addition and TNTs . We will learn how to add  weapons for the maze in order to enable our character in overcoming the challenges in the maze. Task - Add more TNTs and swords for your friends 
Day 4: Adding monster rats - Understanding scripts and functions.We will learn how we can edit scripts and what functions can be added to enable the monster rats slaying with our swords. Task - Add 7 monster rats along with the scripts. 
Day 5: Creating Teams and testing the game . We will learn how to test the game and debug it. Also how to declare winners using teams in the game. We learn how to publish the game and share the link with our friends. – Game publishing and play with friends.  

We will go slow so learners can take their time to explore and add their creativity to the game and this is not a code heavy game to make so it is simple and fun for beginners. For each class we have a fun challenge of task for learners to do and share their experience. This is an interactive class , where teacher leads by demonstration and then waits for learners to follow and complete their task.
