Listo para leer: habilidades básicas de lectura

Each week students will work on sounding out CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) and CVCE words through games and activities.  We will also learn 2-3 sight words weekly and practice reading decodable paragraphs with a focus on comprehension.  
Classes will be highly interactive and a students will be asked to respond orally frequently throughout each class. 
Learners should have a a good base knowledge of letter sounds and letter identification at the beginning of this class to be the most successful. 

This class is perfect for students that know all their letters, letter sounds, a few sight words, and want to practice decoding words.

Basic weekly outline is as follows:
Week 1: CVC words with short a sound, sight word practice and games, decoding short a words, reading practice with comprehension questions
Week 2: CVC words with short e sound, sight word practice and games, decoding short e words, reading practice with comprehension questions
Week 3: CVC words with short i sound, sight word practice and games, decoding short i words, reading practice with comprehension questions
Week 4: CVC words with short o sound, sight word practice and games, decoding short o words, reading practice with comprehension questions
Week 5: CVC words with short u sound, sight word practice and games, decoding short u words, reading practice with comprehension questions
