In this tutoring style class we will review sight words, read short stories, and write our own book.

This class is based off the Anderson Reading Clinic and I will follow the model they lay out.

In the first class I will give a series of assessments in order for me to determine your students reading level and what sight word list we need to begin with. I will also give your student an interest sheet where they can list out things that they like. 

In our following classes we will start with reviewing our sight word list and playing games with our sight words. We will then read a book on your students reading level based on their interests. We will practice our reading fluency and accuracy. Lastly we will write. By the end of 10 weeks your student will have written a book on a topic of interest to them, something they know a lot about. Each session we will write part of the book focusing on getting your student writing and engaged with books in general.
