- Students will reinforce the skills they learned in Kindergarten, growing in their knowledge of letters, sounds words and sentences in order to be ready for their next year of learning in First grade.
I have been in education for 18 years, with most of this time as a classroom teacher. The last 6 years I have spent as a Reading Interventionist in grades K-5 and an instructional Reading Coach, working with teachers to strengthen implementation of instruction. My experience and training in reading intervention is extensive, but as always, experience in working with students of all ages, grade levels, ability levels gives the best knowledge and experience.

Frecuencia: incluidoDetalles: Periodically, (every 3 weeks or so,) I will send practice assignments that students may complete at home, outside of class time. If you choose to opt in and have your student complete the assignments, I can send feedback about student work and next steps in goal setting.
We will be writing in every class, sometimes to participate in games, but also to write words to blend sounds, write sight words and sentences. Please have something accessible to write in each class. This could be a piece of paper and a dark pen or marker or a small whiteboard or chalkboard.
