During our reading adventure, we will: ✨ Build on Knowledge: Perfect for preschoolers who already know their letters and sounds. ✨ Blend for Success: We'll learn to put sounds together (blending) to decode words like "cat" and "dog." ✨ Word Power Up!: Explore word families, CVC words (consonant-vowel-consonant), and learn new sight words each week, building a strong reading vocabulary! ✨ Engage & Have Fun: I use interactive slides, pictures, rhymes, and games to keep learning exciting! 🤩 Let's set sail on the reading adventure together! My Education & Experience:
I graduated from CSU Long Beach with my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies. I started my career as an infant teacher and over the course of my teaching experience of more than 10 years, I also taught different age groups ranging from toddlers to pre-k. As I grew professionally over the years, I was promoted to director of a very successful preschool. I am also a TESOL/TEFL certified teacher.
Fun Facts About Me:
I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, playing beach volleyball, reading, listening to music, podcasts and spending time with family. I am bilingual and speak fluent Tagalog. I have a 9 year old German Shepherd mix rescue dog named Axel and I love eating ice cream!
My Goal:
As your little learner's teacher, I aim to create a comfortable, safe, fun and engaging learning environment. I always strive to provide a positive, memorable learning experience and instill a love of learning early on. I absolutely believe that young children learn best through play and through meaningful hands-on experiences.
