This self-paced class will cover the whole of Unit 1 from Reading Explorer 1. Each section will contain a guided video to help students with the exercises. Student will learn essential skills like: skimming a paragraph and identifying the main idea and supporting ideas. Students will also learn and use new vocabulary in a wide variety of contexts and provide responses to critical thinking questions. This is a great way for students to get the most out of this amazing textbook and achieve great levels of reading and writing for higher thinking.

Students will learn how to skim for gist, or how to find what the passage is mostly about without reading it fully. They will use this skill to answer questions. 1 tarea
